Well I thought I had an all male tank until today. Apparently one of the fish I ordered online as a male is really a female. The fish wasnt eating and was acting weird all day, then I noticed its mouth looked really full and looked like it was chewing. Well the fish came right up to the glass and I could see the little eggs in her mouth. I am kinda suprised, there are 14 other male fish and this fish has been in there for about 2 weeks (the others have been in for 2 months), but there has been no extra aggression or extra attention towards her or each other. What size tank can a female Ngara Flametail live in by herself? If I get a male flametail can I put a male in their until they breed and then put him back in the main tank? I am thinking about breeding them, no one in my area carries these kind of fish. Pretty much all that can be found here is assorted african cichlids and a bunch of different mbuna species.
