Economics:D

I'm a junior Econ major at University of Maryland. Got one more year, then I have my degree. After that I plan on pursuing my MBA at UMD, as they will pay for it if I am working for them. (Which I currently am)

My gawd I HAAAATE economics. lol

My mind just doesn't work that way. I am better at english and art and stuff like that.

LOL, I always get that....Whenever I tell someone my major, they say "Oh cool", and don't expand, or Ew, why? And then they usually proceed to tell me that they took an econ class and failed it, and they have loathed it ever since :nilly:

I for one, LOVE it. I have always loved math though. Art? It all looks the same to me. I had to take an art class, and ALMOST didn't pass. Luckily, a C is good enough, and my GPA didnt drop below 3.2.

But I digress...

When I was an Art History major I got the same thing. "Oh" and "EW, why?!" lol

Are you doing anything with your major?

I learned by the end of my sophomore year to get it done in advance... This way I could alway have thirsty Thursdays free...

I was never waiting to the last moment to finish anything and my grades went up... I went from always missing the deans list or getting a 3.0 to never missing the deans list and almost getting 4.0

Plus when people had last minute fun things I could always go...

I tell my students the advantages and they are starting to understand...

Plus I had more time for all the other things, fraternity, gf, weekends, work full time...(had three jobs once too)...

My first year in college I acted like I was in high school. Didn't pay attention in class, barely studied for tests, etc. Then I ended up with a 3.3 GPA (I am premed, this is bad). Since then, and now i'm a junior, I've been studying and working like crazy. GPA is 3.83, have great job, but life is still hectic. It's a tough phase of our lives, but definitely worth it.

Ditto...My GPA is 3,4ish right now. First semester was disgusting....I had under a 2 GPA, and was put on academic probation. That was a turning point.
