this is the first year i really had problems with the heat so now i am running a portable ac. lost power for a while ect... it has not been a fun summer with the rays.hope the bills go down for u trev.
Your elect must be sky high there. mine was 150 and pretty much never changes. I do not turn on the a/c-- makes no sense--- cool the air then heat the water then cool the air back down and so on, and so on. is easy not to turn on the a/c. the gf doesn't like it but it keeps her in short shorts
IF you ever want to buy some Reeflo pumps or some jager heaters both are very electric bill friendly IME and you know I will take care of you as much as I can down at the shop
Not sure what you are using now though. Does that include heating the tanks from tap? That may be what killed you hopefully it will be more reasonable in the long haul
Well even though all my tanks are in a room in the basement its pretty cool down there so my heaters are running alot which is where my problem is...i have 3 tanks with 1k watt heaters and one tank w 600 watt. I need to insulate the whole room and find a small heater of some sort to heat the air. Also the house ac is running alot w the hot weather (ac is shut off in the fish room)
I was ready for a big bill but not this big lol...
Do you have windows back where the tanks/filtration is? I have my big tank /filtration exposed to ambient and sealed off from the rest of the basement that's exposed to AC.
That's a big bummer about the bill..... The weather sucks bad this summer.... Hopefully you catch a break soon!
