You know it looks lie a hobby you enjoy so even if you get $200 for a stingray it's still 200 more than you would have other wise. Plus for me I enjoy building more than anything so if I can just recupe the cost it keeps me building.

Well, I got my flex shaft replaced & was able to get 3 hrs. in on the stingray today.

Looking good. I use to do wood carvings and try to sell them. No one is willing to pay for the ammount of work that goes into that. Looks like you have way less time into this than most wood carvings. Some of the ducks, ect that I use to carve would have over a 1000 hrs when completed. Definitely would take a lot of money to recoupe the hrs put into it. I could see you selling these for several hundred easily though. What type of materials are you using again? Looks like something I might have to try as well when I have more time. Good work, and hope that you find that aro skeleton.
You don't have to put in massive hours for each one you sell. Make the 1st, then use some liquid form rubber to make a mold. Then just fill the mold with plaster and voila! An exact copy. You can use the mold over and over and over and ....

Quick update... I decided to burn the fining in. It won't be that pronounced when I paint it, but it should still show through a bit.
Here is an update pic. I toned down the spine & have to burn it yet, and distress the frame & then I'll be painting.
