well here is the tank up..its just a grow out tank so im not worried about looks ATM
what do you think?

I am glad it works. And it is good that you aern't concerned with looks at the moment.

..it sits on the back of my toilet...its a grow out for some guppies..and if you look to your left while sitting on my toilet you see this!

all is well, healthy and clean! works like a charm!! ^_^
a quick vacuum once or twice a week and a 30% water change weekly

looks perfect...great idea but it looks like its only gonna draw water from the bottom of the sponge...try poking lots of holes in the tube that the sponge is wrapped around so when the bubbles pass the holes they will draw water in
