Thanks, hes doing great.. I tried to feed him last night, he didnt take it. I thought he would eat since he was eating bubbles in the water.. lol
 
Nice a bit risky but the best way to deal with it i guess although having the fish held at the lfs would be better unless you allready had the fish.
 
Thanks, ya the dumb store wouldnt hold it for me.. Makes me mad because I been going there for years and family knows the owner.. He will be fine.

not risky at all ,
nothing wrong with what you did mate ive done it loads of times

as long as you put a fully cycled filter onto the tank then you will not have any problems

the nitrifying bacteria needed is found mainly in your filter media, so using 100% tap water (dechlorinated of course) would have been fine as long as its the right temperature.... the nitrifying bacteria isn't free floating in the water so using old tank water isnt really needed

Thanks. I paid 70 bucks... He hasnt even gone by the plant or pot I put in.. I hope he likes them.
