Folks, keep the thread clean. I've cleaned this up once. First warning.

No racial remarks.
No profanity.
No personal attacks.

Thanks.

But a old plymouth duster roadrunner, or buy a chevy nova, or buy dodge charger from the 70's. All those cars can look amazing when u finish fixin them up! And if u wanna have ppl lookin at ur car when u go by i suggest those nothin like old true american muscle!

I have a '93 Sentra with an SR20 DE in it, it goes pretty good for a 4 door :) I love the car and putting a little money into it, but when push comes to shove I won't touch anything other than American muscle, or a Benz if I had the money.

Instead of sinking my money into an import, I bought an 80 Chevy C10 shortbox, put 456 posi in the rear, turbo 400 tranny, and a big block 427 with about 570HP in it :)
Its not complete yet, but it'll smoke almost any import of the same value out there!

IMO if you're gonna go tuner, do an SRT-4. These things are absolute beasts. Up here you can get a used one for about 10k. and with about 5k in mods you can be pushing 400hp to the wheels and running under 11 seconds. I have a good friend who's actually done this.

Buy a camaro. Japanese cars are junk and look like it.

In case you have not heard GM and Chrysler went bankcrupt last year and had to be rescued with your tax dollars to continue operating.

American car companies are junk producing expensive junky vehicles;) Heck even Hyundai is prospering in the US while American car companies are losing money all the time.

for the best bang for the buck would be 5.0 pony parts are dirt cheap.. or grand national typhoon.. they was very cheap cars to mod back in the day's...

I had a 99 Civic and I miss it dearly. However, FWD cars rarely hit 10's in a drag unless you throw serious money into them. They just can't hook up! Would a Civic be a fun little car to mod and race in, damn straight!

I'd go with a Nissan though!

I buy Honda, Toyota, and Hyundai, yet, I am still buying American. All of these auto makers have models be produced i the U.S. Everyone seems to forget that part.

you are dead right Pharoah! those cars are made here.

i own a civic, my hubby works for a honda parts supplier-they make bushings and other parts. most ppl dont know that honda also makes parts for Ford, and other makers too.

my hubby owns a VW Jetta TDI-guess where it was made? not Germany lol..
