I Gotten 3-5lb Catfish and a 4 inch bullgill 
I use the original clinch knot, but this one will work just fine for you-
When tightening the knot pull on all three points (line coming out the rod, line attached to lure, and end of line). I usually put the end of the line in my mouth to tighten. This knot can be done in 10 seconds easy once you get used to it.

PALOMAR, I'm sure there is a walk-through video online somewhere- Its landed quite a few for me and works from 4 lb mono to 30 + pound braid
This is a pretty decent demo, it will be a lot smaller when tied with fishing line. and always remember to lube(spit on) your knots while tightening! Friction is the enemy and will greatly weaken line.
