that gater gar can grow 2 10 feet long and if it dont die prematuarly...... ur gona need a huge tank....

yeah, the red devil was bought at the lfs. hopfully it's not a hybrid. thanks for the info on my texas. i know the gar will outgrow any home i might be able to supply him with, but i will enjoy him as much as possible untill the day i have to give him up, i will either sell or donate to a good home.
not sure on the 1st or 4th but the the 2nd looks like a cobalt blue malawi cichlid and im pretty sure that the gar is a florida gar
The Texas is not a "green Texas" it is Herichthys cyanoguttatus. There are many incorrect names for the other types of Texas Cichlid; Green Texas, Green Pearl, Pearl, Blue, etc.........Most of them would be Herichthys carpintis. I prefer yours, Herichthys cyanoguttatus nice fish!
