Try to read between the lines when i say you're probably in a much better position to comment on prospective size of any Hoplias Sp. what with actually owning a number of them...

The only definitive way to say would be with an under-jaw shot but I'm not sold on the Mala identification. It's entierly possibly I'm wrong but the colouration (obviously) and head shape seems off to me, hence why i provided comparison to the stock I mentioned.

I know i mentioned that yours was from Columbia based on the thread i made a few months ago but are you able to confirm where exactly it came from? I might have an e-mail somewhere from Chris but I was almost certain we said they were from Columbia?

As per my PM on the first part...

As to size; i guess, if they are Mala then standard Mala size (~20" max). Anything else, then your guess is as good as mine.
