I went into the hatchery this morning to feed out and found a whole aisle of tanks off. The UPS and surge protector were fried as well as the breakers. We had a storm yesterday and, apparently, the hatchery took a lightning strike. 2 of my 5000GPH pumps are fried as are 6 powerheads. The casings expanded from the strike/heat and you can smell burnt transformers and insulation.
I lost my 18" broken saddle endlicheri, 14 full adult Mpimbwe fronts, 32 Karilani fronts, 3 mottled african cats, 3 Synodontis angelicus, 4 Syn. occellifer, and 16 Tropheus ilangi.
Just spent 7 hours overhauling a 275gal, 150gal, 120gal, and 100gal. I don't have another backup pump so, I had to set up a FX5 and 2 powerheads on the 275 until I can get a replacement and backup pump in.
