The building wiring has a ground. The metal roof has a ground. And, the backup gen has a ground. We figure the lightning hit the window frame on its way to the surge protector. We're going to put a megger on the frame tomorrow to see if it should have a ground too. In the meantime, the surge protector and UPS have been moved away from the windows as far as the others that weren't affected by the surge. We're also going to have an electrician move the circuit breaker off the exterior/interior wall and place it on an interior/interior wall. Then, we'll keep our fingers crossed.
