This is Indoor Jungle marketing at its best... Their store and animals were cruelly neglected and malnourished to begin with, not to mention the ich and bacterial infections that alot of their fish have. This tragic event was in my honest educated opinion orchestrated by a failing fish store to collect insurance money for stock they were not likely to sell. Also This event has brough alot of attention and free advertising and publicity to an otherwise unknown store. How many people have heard of indoor jungle before they saw the news reports? There is no doubt in my mind this is just another crooked tactic used by them, and its probably not the first time.

To contaminate the amount of water that is said to be, someone would have to walk in with a noticable amount of poison such as a bucket or jug of bleach and would not likely go un-noticed. This is an inside job NO QUESTION. I have been there a number of times.. and really everytime it was a ghost-town in there. They are a failing business and this is an attempt to get the public to sympathize with them and support their store. Dont fall for it, they murdered all those fish!!! Granted they were likely on their way out anyway, but this way it grabs some publicity to "canadas largest fishstore" which should be a title taken very lightly, as its hardly a fishroom, fish murder house is more like it.

NO ONE has more motive to "sabotage" them then themselves, it is extremely unlikely anyone from a rival company would, because as i said before, they were honestly no threat for business the way they were going.

Decide for yourselves, but this is the truth as i know it.

I was in there about 2 weeks ago....:iagree:

I liked going into that place. However they didn't know too much about fired bellied newts. Does anyone know when there reopening? I tried the door the other day but it was locked. There was a note with a 905 number on the door has anyone called it? Does the 905 mean the have moved out of scarborough? I don't think it was the owners who did this. but whoever did is real insensitive. I got some of my guppies from there and they ended up mating with my other guppies, so i feel it's their home.

you have to take whats said at face value but there is 4 people that own this shop and they claim its been successful for the 5 months they have been open. If they are already in that much financial trouble 5 months in, to where they consider killing off 700+ fish then they really arent fish people

Just because they own a fish store doesn't mean they love fish. Some people might think it's a big money maker. You'd be surprised what people will do for money.
