There's nothing you can't do at this point, except request a refund or replacement from the seller, since the package is on its way back to him, and he didn't ship it as per agreement at first.

This pretty much sums it up. He failed to ship properly and now the results of that are being shipped back to him. Ask for your money back and keep looking for the next fish.

not irrelevant. I ordered a doctorfish which ca,e n a destroyed bag and had almost no water left n i. And he swimms happily in his tank sind years. Some fish are very hardy. Thats why i asked. I used to transport macropods in wet towels

some places can't always get UPS overnight. could that have come in to play with your order, and the sender chose not to assume you'd want additional charges?
For fish overnight here, I have to use FedEx.

Same type of thing happened to me in December. Ordered some fish from Rapps and UPS made a massive mistake. Paid for overnight before 10:30 and the box arrived 5 days later. I'm glad Rapps stands behind his fish and replaced everything. As for UPS... UPS is horrible for everything. I have a friend who ships electronics all over the country and when they get new boxes in, they ship a few items through UPS to see if the boxes will hold up. He refers to them as OOPS instead of UPS.

As for Germany... The only thing superior about Germany is the beer, cars and the Autobahn. I lived there for 6 years so I think I might know what I am talking about.
