People are practically giving away houses here. Automotive production and independant farming just a memory now.

What area? I know Indy is still holding on....... My lady is from Columbus and it has tanked in the past year. I want to buy some property next trip out there. Her father told me about some properties that went for like $1,900.00 a parcel.

hoosier here as well! we can get a 1400 sq' house on half acre bout 80,000. for run of the mill. whats funny is you see 40 acres for sale for 3500 an acre and then 75,000 per acre across street! shouldnt invest w/o info! thats cali prices in the hoosier state!!!!!!!! bet they sit on it a while!

we got all 500,000+ but most of town is multimillion dollar homes. Michigan has the worst economy in nation. 8 out of ten people in michigan get food stamps! We saw a hunting ground that was like 150 acres for 3 million

Heh? I confused. $2K for a parcel is Cali pricing? I live on less than 1/2 acre and my house is only worth $165,000.00. The land is $290,000.00

BTW - talking about land vs. house....... Malibu, CA has the highest land values or it did a few months ago. There is a lone trailer park that sits on a bluff with an ocean view. Last lot went for $1.1 million. It now has a $30K double wide sitting on it.

You'd be lucky to find a 3 bedroom 2 garage 1 bath house in my suburb for less then $320,000. Actually, if you could find houses under $380,000 your doing pretty well. The average house in my suburb has 4 bed, 2 bath, 2 garage and goes for $450,000 - $610,000.

I almost cannot believe that spizz said you could get houses for $150,000.

250,000-500k that describes most built and develpoing areas in fl for a house that size. Then again the bigger the house is with the same amount of bedrooms/bathrooms the price goes up. Its too expensive here.

i paid £38,500 ($77,000) for my house around 7 years ago and spent around £35,000 $70,000 a couple of years ago and it is now worth around £150,000 $300,000 in todays market.
i have a 3 bed 1 bath 2 reception room victorian house with kitcken and utility (can be converted back to another bath).
this is in the UK though.

here you can still get 2-2-2 for around 90 to 100,000 or country club for 250,000 and up
