How active is your gar?

Recently got a new gar and its really active! Gars Ive had in the past always chilled at the top of the tank relaxing the day away. My new gar is always swimming all over the place!

Just curious is anybody elses gars are hyper active!?!?!

mine sleeps all day unless he is eating. then he will grab some food and start spazzing

What species did you get? The only gar I have had was a spotted and he was not very active.

My 2 Gars kinda just hang out until feeding time. When my gator gar was was about 4 inches he was alot more active, now at that he is well over a foot hes more relaxed.
