How active is your gar?

On a lighter note, the same gar used to give ferry rides to crickets i would put in for my GG...lol.. really wish i had a camera ready for that one.

My 2 florida gars become very active at feeding time. I have to scoop one up and put it back in the water at least once a week. I feed them with wooden tongs. The other day, one bit the tongs, and wouldn't let go. I pulled him out of the water and he hung from the tongs for a few seconds before letting go. I'm just waiting for the day when one decides to try a finger.:grinno: Other than that, they just relax at the surface.
 
I have an 8inch spotted gar and he is really active!!
maybe because he is still small
 
I have 2 young what I believe to be Florida gars. Just longer than a dollar bill.
They are both pretty active, so far.

The 2 of them are up down and all around. Mebbe cuz they are young. I dunno.
