How are the Oceanic Bio Cube Systems?

Yes, it does. It's all built into it. My good LFS has one on display. Pretty neat to check out, debating on whether or not to dive into saltwater or not.

$700 isn't too bad. The LFS by me is known for overpricing, but they have great quality. To be honest, I haven't seen a sick or dead fish in any of their tanks. Great upkeep. And they want close to 850 for the setup, stand included. But we bought a membership card, so we get 10% off the total.
 
I have a red-sea max at work, it's pretty cool, but of a fiddle to get it set up.. the lights are insane, its even got moon light, 1 powercord is a great idea, and isolated switches Oh and a fan in the lid... Very cool starter marine tank.
 
Yea the guy was saying that it took like 2.5 hours to set the stand up and it usually takes him 15-20 minutes for a normal tank stand:eek: . So I'd be looking at an all day project:(

I can put aquaone stands together in 15 mins, red-sea is more of a 30 min project.. . . . . the cables etc another 30 mins.... Do enough of them and you cut your times down LOL

i don't like it when people put fish that are gregarious alone in a tank. if you are going to do the firefish or the cards, please, for their sake, get like three of em.
other than that, if it's the 29 you're looking into, i would do the angel, the gramma OR the hawk (if you put them together they will fight like there's no tomarrow), and the fires or cards (for bioload's sake). i don't know about the lobster, they seem to like to pinch at fish just a little too much. and for a star i would suggest a sand sifter or serpent star.

Allright thanks I think what I will do is the Coral Beauty Angelfish, the Catalina Goby, a Longnose Hawkfish, curious wormfish (http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?pCatId=22603) firefish, (what about keeping both of the starfish?), peppermint shrimp, and Arrow Crab, O and I forgot to ask about the flame scallop last time. Do Inverts have a big impact on the bio load? This is the last change and question I have about the type of fish. I know thats a big bio load, but I plan on adding them very slowly. Which species should I introduce first, and last? Thanks for all of your help
 
areyou getting the biocube or the red sea?
in the bio cube i wouldn't unless you plan on feeding them. i don't know the footprint of the red sea so i cant comment on then althought it looked narrower than the bc.

I'm looking at the Red Sea I think. It's ~24"L, 20"W, 20"T
