How are the Oceanic Bio Cube Systems?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yeah i wouldn't do both. they each get like 9" across i think. you could also do linkia stars. chocolate chips you might be able to get two in.

what about the African red knob sea star? I measured it out and have a couple of places I could put it. Do you think that I should get this first or the monster freshwater tank? I'm basically asking which do you think that I should become more accustomed to caring for first?

monster FW.
with SW there are more specific things that you have to do, but pretty much everything that's in FW is in SW

O woops sry I forgot to put which would be harder to set up and maintain initially. i already have a couple of FW tanks and I'm upgrading to my first monster tank so it wont be my first tank. O and do you think that the red know sea star will be O.K. in the red sea max (that should be my last compatibility question;) ) thanks again for your help.

INITAILLY the SW, over time neither is harder than the other.
the RKSS might be pushing it as they get about 1' and with the LR in the tank they maynot have the "turning radius" to move about easily.luckily stars grow really slow and you might get away with just one.

you may also want to look into marble sea stars smaller and still kinda cool looking could get two of em.

can you find/order through someone the RKSS's i've never seen them at a store but Cn is a ways away from IL. do one of them or the 2 marbles. just make sure evey once and a while you throw a peice of fish or shrimp or squid or something in there to keep them well fed.
i've had bad experiences w/ brittles so I don't recomend them

theres also a new jbj 28 gallon similar to the red sea one .. but the jbj has 2 pumps that run a a wavemaker and a metal halide system.... its going for about 800 when it comes out
