How big are your baby dats now?

well i gotten mine in a lfs and was about .5' and now they are around 2.5" - 3" i have one NTT in there which i had 4 and now 1 left.. all on freeze dried krills. i have moved my 12" IT with them. had lost one baby .5" few weeks ago when it was about 1.5".. i have another NGT in there only eats MP.. big IT eats massivores..

I have the same thing in my tank. One of my dats is the same length (about 3 inches) as my other dats, but he's really fat and tall. I think it's because he eats the most massivore.

I swear, there's something about massivore that makes fish go nuts. I used to give them cichlid gold and bloodworms, but now that they can eat massivore, they go crazy for the food and have been growing better. They come up higher for massivore, but for other pellets they'll wait til it comes close to their mouth before they try to eat it. I think it because it smells so strong.
 
I heard that, overall, dats are slow growing. From these other posts it sounds like they grow pretty fast when young, but when & at what size does their growth rate slow down? Also, I've never used massivore; how big do fish need to be to eat it?
 
they have another wafer thing thats just like massivore but the pellets arent as big. maybe 1/8 in across. forgot what they are called but they have the same stats as massivore

If you find out please post up the pellet that you said is like massivore! My baby dats are growing really slow the the biggest ones are 3.5 in I think probably 4 pushing... I got mines from cichlidsrool... There in a 150 5x2x2 with some driftwood 1 ac 110 120g sump, and a fx5... I do 50% WC weekly... But idk why mines grow slow slow!!! Plus they don't take pellets..smelt and shrimp... Tried carnivore but they only look at it!!!

I'm sure he's talking about Sinking Carnivore Pellets.
 
Sinking carnivore is an excellent pellet, all my fish love it.
