would love to see some pics and info on how big your rays are getting or have gottne since you got them. I know there has to be some bigger ones out there....
My females are probly around 13-14 inches and the males are around 11-12 its kinda hard to tell in my pond. I know they always look smaller than they accuatlly are. My one male and female i raised from pups their about 2 yrs old or so.
The biggest female (brightest) is about 20" across... Guessing 6-9 years old.. History's kinda hard to tell with wild caughts as we don't know growthrate. Marbles also have a wierd growthrate to boot, I have one I've had a couple years and she's only 8-9" and I got her ay like 5"
Biggest male is presumed around 13 years old. Guessin 15-16" disk
I went to Maidenhead Aquatics in IVER the other day as I was told they had a big pregnant ray.
The Ray is in an 8X4 foot print tank and is filtered on a shop system.
At one point her tail was touching one side and nose the other so thats 4ft long. Her disc was not far off 12 inches from each side so I think nearly a 36inch disc and what is more scary is that she is nearly 12 inches thick!
The pic just did not show her enormity but let this warn others of the potential size.
Last litter was 18 pups and they are for sale at £100 each or £180 a pair.
