How big are your rays?

Males are always smaller, but didn't realize marbles stayed so much smaller then regulars that it was a significant difference between the two.

DB, i have a regular male motoro that is about 4 years old (well i would say atleast 3.5 yrs) and he is 11". He supposedly came out of Columbia. Maybe the "motoros" out of columbia stay smaller, hints why marbles are smaller. Just a thought.

It's possible...... Maybe Peruvians get bigger then Colombian? Maybe it just depends on the individual ray.

All I know is I have never seen big Marbles.... Yet it's very easy to come across pics of huge Motoros.

Of all the Marbles I have now I don't think any of them have put on more then a couple inches a year tops.

Just sharing what I'm seeing...... My avatar female has been with me for almost 2 years. Got her at 6 inches, I don't think she's even put on 3.

Maybe it's time for me to quit derailing this thread and start a new one.

My marble pup (female from aqua man) has doubled in size since getting her as a pup in April 2010, now dec 2010

Now about 10+ inches

Fed twice a day and in 300gals and only tank mate is a pearl.

Rapps says he has a 20" marble in stock right now. My bro has 2 marbles that are 14" and are wild caught. Rapps said they were 16". How do peeps measure the rays? front to back?, or sideways? They dont look that big in his 500 gal though.

I have a 12inch ish disc female marbled motoro and a 4inch disc male henlei x mantilla.

I think the female is close to 70 cm...(?) 15-20 years old.

I have a 15" or so marble motoro female and a 14" or so marble motoro male.I aslo have some smaller marbles at around 8". I'm still humming around buying a 25" wide motoro but I'm not sure yet.
