How big do female red terror's / festae get?

What is the avg size full grown female festae?

If housed alone for its life would this be good?

Does they have good personalities?

12-13", and yes, they are well suited to be kept solitary.

yes a big girl is around that size. I would say solitary is fine but pairs are always good

The absolute maximum is more like 14". 12-13 is what you should plan for if you intend to keep the fish through its entire lifespan.

yes 14 inches is gonna be your max size. 12-13 is just an big ol' girl. i guess you can say its average yes, but it takes a while to hit that size, especially if spawning

The biggest female I've seen was in the 10-11" range and seemed pretty old. Festae usually aren't combative glass bangers, but will eagerly beg for food like most large, well adjusted cichlids.

I wouldn't due to possible size I'd say a 125 would be a better fit, though I'd think a 75 would work for quite some time
