sorry for the derail, but i love the base color on your ST sir. is it the lighting or is he always that light.

Fantastic looking Thin Bar looks huge! I picked up 2 AT's last week and 1 has already gone through SDS the other seems fine so far (touchwood) keep those pictures coming of its progress.

its actually got a little more yellow but is still very pale compared to others, its not the light.

i would say the thin bar would grow to 14inch if it did grow bigger the growth would be so slow you wouldnt even notice unless you got a tape out

Dixon wow that ST is 8inch now  thanks for growing it on for me i will pick it back up next week :D

Well, in the few months Ive had him he has grown a noticable amount. Even his fins heal after some minor damage faster then any other dat Ive had! I hope I can get him to 15" plus. I netted him out to measure and he is over 12" now and HEAVY my guess is a good 2.5pounds!

Shouldn't be any problem to get it over 13 inches. Here is a picture of my 13" thin bar that died. Likely killed by my Jardini Arowana.

Lots of water changes. I would recommend twice a week if feeding lots of shrimp or krill. I would also recommend using a preventitive like copper sulfate because NTT's are prone to gill flukes. Your temp should be just fine. Salt, I just add 1 tablespoon per 10g. I use salt in all my tanks. Good luck and once again, great fish!

Mind explainin what this gill fluke is? Ive never heard of it and it have a NTT. Just wanna make sure he doesnt get it.
