I wouldnt put a 6" eel in anything less than 40g to start with.

And this would be very temporary.

Not for needed space (other than to grow properly) but more just to make sure that water quality stayed adequate with such a large waste producer.

Do you have any larger tanks running? You could always 'shark tank' him in a critter keeper and put him in there.

As I think others have said, it's def a yellow head, G. fimbriatus and these guys are mean. They max out at three feet but are 6 feet worth of nasty.
