i own a 4inch albino "tiger" oscar. i use the " cause im un-sure of what it is
how can i get he/she's colors to acually get brighter?
It is on a diet of pellets and frozen bloodworm/brine shrimp.
please help me also can anyone tell me what is the " ID " of fish do?
i've seen people ask for it and i have no clue what is it for.....
please reply. and thank you for everyone who comment and help :)

(ingore this) Ps: thank you all of MFK you guys are the biggest help when
i need help. :)

Add shrimp to his regular feeding schedule, they have large amounts of Astaxanthin, a carotenoid that promotes fish health and red coloration :)

Good food, shrimp and plankton will help. It also may take a little time. Juvenile cichlids are by nature less colorful. As they grow they continue to develope more color.

thanks for your reply :)

I've seen the change in color after i started feeding my oscar pellets.
But ill try and see if he would eat shrimp or plankton.

as said above feed shrimp, also what kind of pellet are you feeding? you should make a good quality food like hikari cichlid gold or omega one super color cichlid pellets.

just good diet and time, and you should see a difference(kept in mind it may also be genetics not all fish are bright and colorful)but if you already see a change just keep doing what you are doing. Keep us posted

My oscar growed more orange spot scales and it acually have gotten brighter. I am currently feeding him Hikari Cichlid Gold pellets ;) and he acually likes it, sometimes when im trying to feed him those pellets he would jump out of the water for it >.<;;;; im trying not let him do it. Also i've seen pictures where the fish let their owner pet them is it possible for my oscar to let me pet it? And also is it safe if so how can i teach my oscar to let me pet it hahahas XD

over time your oscar will get to know you well(one of their qualities)i would not pet my fish do to the damage it does to their slime coat, but you can teach him to hand feed from you, many people can hand feed thier fish.good luck and hope this info helps. btw we like pictures here(post some if you can)
