How close is your nearest LFS?

Well sounds like you're set for pets & supplies, and yeah I should have worded that differently -- wasn't thinking about it because we don't have chain pet stores here, but I reckon they count as well -- basically wherever one has access to fish/supporting goods.
Yeah, I'm more than set, the one lfs is often regarded as the best in our state (It's called reef to rift) and the other one that has two locations is called Fins Feathers Paws and Claws, and if I go 40-50 miles away I can go to the hidden reef and the fish factory, so yeah I'm lucky in that I have plenty of fish stores around me, though I mostly buy supplies online

Closest shop shut down last year, all the good shops are now 30-45 mins away. I have two 15 mins away but they are tiny and don't have all too much.

Reef to Rift hunh? I've never heard of them but if they are so highly regarded then I will have to check them out one of these days.

They're in hatfield PA, they have a lot of fish you can't normally find, but they aren't an overly large store, rachel oleary did a tour of there if you're interested

I just looked them up,about 45 minutes from me yet I have never heard of them.I might swing by there for a look see tomorrow.

I've got 2 about 15mins away, one is a marine specialist and one is pretty crap so don't visit them often, within 45mins drive there are 3 good stores. Used to be a big cichlid specialist the samedistance away but it closed down due to the owners divorcing.
There are a few petbarns (I guess our version of petco)scattered about but they aren't good for fish stuff so only visit them if I need some conditioner or something. Lots of independent shops closed a few years ago but things seem to have settled down now.

About 30 minutes to the nearest privately owned store. It's not the greatest. Petco, PetSmart, and pet supermarket are around the same area. For fish i like pet supermarket the best. But I've driven up to 4 hours to cichlid Express in Daytona, FL.

They have a lot of good stuff, a lot of african cichlids you can't find easily and a lot of different barbs and tetras, I'll just warn you they are really expensive
