Why aren't you using those filters anymore?

I went fresh 99% of the stock i have. But i'm starting to get back into salt agin. Planning 800 plus gallon tank. For the Grouper. And some shark's.

Only at the store. (My family owned a fish shop) But not on my personal time. I have kept Reef type fish. Clowns ect.. I want to do a full blown reef soon. Nothing massive maybe a 75 gallon. I know a huge key is the lighting i think?

Yes, lighting is important but flow is even more. Some corals can grow with no light at all but all will die w/o flow.

It is hard to believe you can maintain 0 nitrate in a tank with that kind of fish bioload.

True, I'm not saying it's alway's 0 but it's never in the danger zone. I do 60% water changes every two week's.

Wow, that's a ton of $alt! You really could reduce your WC by a lot, if you kept more LR, a skimmer & no FW filtration. Do you do this because of the nitrate build-up?

How often shld i do water changes? So i am not wasting money on salt water? and shld i buy stuff to mix on my own or go to petco and get the 5 gallon buckets(pre mixed)?
