How do I get my jar off crickets?

Wow, thanks for all the replies. The first thing I want to try is sticking the shrimp to the glass. I will try some of the other ideas also. I saw a seller on Ebay that sells 1000 crickets for $10.00. That is cheap. I think he is cricketman. I could get these and freeze them.

Cool ... what some people do is freeze that in a container and then shake it to remove the legs.

Glad to know other people have the same issues with crickets that I do. I didn't know they would eat frozen crickets. That is a great idea!

How long can you keep frozen cricket? say, if you get 1000 pcs, and freeze then, do you just throw them in the tank directly? or u thaw the frozen cricket a bit? do they go bad after a period of time?

Just curious since i just read this thread again.. how did you make out getting him off crickets?

on my jar i starve him for like 5 day , because the cricket smelling up in ma house and my mom found some in the house ..so i buy beef meat...slide about 2" long but skiiny and start to hold it and wiggle, my jar just come up and eat .. i think he is really hungry... but now everytime he eat .." he eat".. then he wont eat for another two or three day for him to dyjestic so now my jar is off the cricket but im gonna try him eating kiraki pellet beef is expensive

my suggestion is starving him about 2 days and feed him with crickets half of the amount hes normally consume. Try to introduce pellets the next day if doesn't seem to eat pellets remove all the pellets from the tank and starv him again. feed him with pellets again the next day. if he's still not, just throw in the crickets for him just 1 or 2 and try the pellets every now and then during the day. keep doing that for 2-3 weeks i'm sure he'll be eating pellets. Even if you starv him for 1 week long I bet he still not going to eats pellets.
