How long can you keep frozen cricket? say, if you get 1000 pcs, and freeze then, do you just throw them in the tank directly? or u thaw the frozen cricket a bit? do they go bad after a period of time?

I thaw my frozen food in a little container of tank water before feeding, in an airtight container crickets should be good for 6months or more so frozen.

starve him, always worked for me. the key is to be comitted with starving....

Have you tried Fried Dried Shrimp/Krill? My Aro's love that stuff.... ate it the first day I introduced it to them. Or perhaps even try meal worms after starving him a couple of days. I also feed mine market shrimp, the jar's will pick them off the ground if necessary. GL.

He is finally eating shrimp and scallops. A real shy eater though. He takes his food from the bottom. Sometimes I have to sit far away from the tank for him to eat. Have some plecos in here with a livingstoni African cichlid.

HAHA I hope you mean Freeze dried shrimp :nilly::)

What i used to do with mine was get a needle and thread and thread on a piece of prawn to the end of the knotted thread it should be easy to slide off the thread hang it near the top of the tank in the water of course and leave it there my jars have always taken the bait sometimes quite entertaining to watch if you have an aggresive feeding jar.

Once they're used to prawn they just smash em when you just throw them in, always worked for me.
