how do I keep poo off the bottom of my large tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
a tank that large should have a sump. Also, part of owning fish like that is having to deal with a ton of bio lol

were are the filters..i dont see them...if better if you put it under the tank....i think you can try modify the inlets and outlets of ur filters i did that with my sunsun and i have a 180..and it works pretty fine...try to make a cascade with some filtration media..in my opinion not all canister filter capture all the particles and dirt from the tank..my cascade capture alot of things that my canister dont do....

Could you please help me understand what cascade means ? I have an 180GL and have similar problem....

A lot of people swear by diy reverse flow UGFs. I've seen one setup where you run PVC plumbing inlets all over the bottom of the tank, and you connect a powerhead with a sponge filter to the out-take. This sucks the waste from the gravel into the sponge filter attached to the powerhead. I haven't tried this set-up yet, but it seems tempting.
