How do I move a 2+ pound, 13 inch fish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm thinking (only) of selling, trading in my 13 inch Midas. The dude is built like a truck. How in the world would I move him without him being injured, and the room becoming soaked?

My guess is that I would drain the tank a bit and coral him into a bucket?

Any stories you guys have of moving large fish? I'm sure there have been a lot of soaked clothing.

This is a decision i've struggled with for, oh, going on months. I've converted all of my tanks to fancy gold fish, and my Midas remains, partly due to his size, partly due to the fact that my daughter loves him, partly due to the fact that i've raised him from a baby.

i am torn on this one, truly i am.

Well you've gotta keep some cool aggressive fish....and you gotta keep your daughter intrested in the hobby. SO id say keep him!

I second that. Keep him.
If anything he deserves to live out his years with his original family.

Keep him!! fancy gold fish....lol that Midas is your dignity... don't throw that out!!

o yea... PICTURES!!!

well start off by doing a large wc so you wont make a mess.

water change implies you take out water and replace it with more water.

i'd keep it too
