I don't have anything to scary one Colombian boa, which I don't know why but I am the only one who can handle her... Even when other people come around me ESPECIALLY men she'll strike at them. Anyone else have this problem with a snake? I think the guy I got her from abused her or something. Soo she doesn't come out for visitors. But my two beardies are a big hit everyone wants to hold them. Also my 80lb sulcata, hes so friendly and comes when you call him everyone loves to feed him and pet his head and neck. I have these two 8 y/o neighborhood girls who come over at least every other day to hold the dragons or feed Pi (the sulcata). And bang around on the drum set which gets old fast!!

hes ok if im there but if a man just walks up to him he will go for them.
in a way its probably a good thing its just me and my lil one with him. he seems to know my lil girl is a child, i know that sounds rediculous lol
but if shes around him hes extra gentle. with me hes my hunny bunny and i love him lots and lots lol

Awesome, I don't mean to derail the thread but I'm glad other people experience this with there snake :]
haha i like to tell people hes protective of me...haha they believe it and strangely enough they r more scared of him than a dog.
Heck yeah, people are WAY more scared of my boa than my German shepherd.... But I imagine a burm is probably a lot more intimidating :]

My herps are all in one room (excluding the turtles in the stock tank in the garage) the "reptile room" has a sign on the door that reads "Beware of attack lizard" and a sign with claws on it that look like from the creature from the black lagoon that says "enter at own risk"... any company I get that isn't interested in reptiles don't go into that room, lol... but the ones who ARE are like "OOH! what's in there?!"
