how do you change water?

Submersible pump attached to a hose out to the yard for emptying and pump back into tanks from a rubbermaid trash can.

1/2 homemade - 1/2 storebought siphon vac that discharges to the lawn to remove.

1/2" copper line plumbed to directly above the water aging tank to add.

I stick with the old buckets and gravel vac. I keep four buckets, i fill two with water from the basement to the same temperature as the tank and add chlorine/chloramine remover and take the two empty ones upstairs and drain water into them. It seems to be pretty quick and easy.

How many gallons do you change out at a time? It seems that if you change out a hundred gallons or more each time, your system would become extremely tedious, especially if you are carrying buckets up and down stairs.

I'd give up if I had to do a large tank with buckets. :)

What i meant to say was that i fill up 2 five gallon buckets with clean water and bring 2 empty ones with me also to put the dirty water in. Im only taking out 10 gallons.

This sorta thing is a common occurance. Not to be mean, but great idea's of Liams are rarely put into practice. He was going to make this awesome background for his 70, but for an unknown reason, didnt end up doing it.

so? he can't express his ideas now because he didn't make a background? wow

oh, i have a small tank, so i use the siphon and bucket method
