Bleach is a chlorine and a dechlorinater product will neutralize it.. so will drying it out completely. Rinsing afterwards is good peace of mind.
But like Zoodiver said, be careful not to get it on the acrylic, bad bad bad.
The overflow box itself is a different style of plastic, and I have used bleach on it before (old petco display tanks) and had no issues. It did however discolor them and make them look faded.. I re-painted them with an acrylic waterproof paint afterwards.
