How do you clean your planted tank?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
it'll be fine bud, if your worried about that kinda thing, get some amano shrimp, i got a load in my planted tank and they did good

What do amano shrimp look like? Any drawbacks?

amano shrimp look almost like ghost shrimp with red spots. if i can find mine i'll take a picture for you. they can be mean but are great algae eaters.

as far as cleaning my planted tanks i just use the syphon and suck out a few gallons of water and replace with new. rarely do i actually get intot he gravel. i may sometimes just hover it over the gravel to pick stuff up but nothing more then that. you dont want to damage the roots

Do you have a heavily planted tank?

yes i have 3 of them. my whole focus now is nothing pretty much besides discus and plants. i need to take new pictures since i have done trimmings and such. i can post up a few that are couple weeks old if you want though
