But back to topic, I just add it straight to tank during/end of the water change.

and that takes what,2-3 hrs?

is that for fw?
yeah its for FW

I dont think its necessary to use some marine salts because they will dissolve faster....whats the rush? lol

If there are some sensetive fish in the tank doesnt it makes more sense to have it dissolve slowly? Rather than dumping a really high concentration in?

I always just toss it in, unless its a tank full of cats i dont see an issue. Unless you put way too much in.

When I wait till the end, I'm usually shop vac'n the floor  :D

Does anybody have fish eat the salt like food? I had a pair of Oscars who'd gobble it up...they never seemed to have any ill effects...

I just dump in the tank under the python so the new water flows over it. Seems to dissolve pretty quickly that way.

And Gt (gold saum) loves to eat the undissolved salt. I usually drive him away after he gets a couple pieces.
