How do you do it?

Also wild fish feed is good its the type of food that people feed to bluegill in stocked ponds and fish farms. It has 60 percent protien and is much cheaper than most LFS brands. 22 bucks for a 50 pound bag.

Its really not that expensive compared to keeping other pets. The guys are right, its all about buying your food at the right places and knowing where to get your supplies. buying Online and Home Depot are your 2 best bets.

THANKS!!!for the help guys, WOW :22_yikes: fish food IS cheap online. . . really cheap, i pay like 10$ for a 8oz bag of cichlid pellets at petco and it only last a week and a half,

by the way trust can i use lava rock in a wet dry filter, and are they better than bioballs, just wondering.

what kind of pumps or filters do you guys use, any really powerful energy efficent ones i should know about?

u'd very surprised what u can find to feed ur monsters other than mp, smelts, squid and octopus

the best bang for my money is Acqua Clear 500.....for $50 cdn, nothing comes close to moving 500 gal per hour

I'll second that, I like the AquaClear 500's I think theyre called the 110 now or sumpthin' like that.

AC 500's are rated to move 428 gallons per hour, and im not sure if that's running empty or running with media. In any case that doesn't mean much to me; they're still a great filter.
