How do you enjoy your Fish and tanks

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i also enjoy looking at other peoples tank setup and collection. I can either identify with the collector and be inspired at what they have. Sometimes its the other way around and it just makes you happy that other hobbyist like your fish .

I agree with just about all of the responses (except for that one that involved shaving and slapping of some sort.........ewwww) lol.

I like doing water changes, because I know it helps keep them as healthy as possible, and encourages faster growth. Plus it gives me a chance to prune the plants and rearrange decor.

I also like to just sit and watch (especially after feeding). No lights in my room, just the tank lights.

Another one of my favorite things to do is check out other aquariums, whether it's on the net, or real life.

So yeah, I highly agree with sleepyflight

Im an idiot

I enjoy sitting & watching them, I get a rush whey fry arrive. I enjoy "creating" the world they know. I am happy when others enjoy my fish. I enjoy other peoples fish & setups.

I wish my boss would realize that they don't need to eat every hour or so. :swear:

I like all of it except the cleaning. I'm getting quite the zoo accumulated and the cleaning drives me nuts. But I love feeding time... It's like watching the discovery channel. I like getting babies or hurt fish and watching them grow into beautiful specimens. And bringing home new fish and seeing their true personalities develop. It's always fun when people come over who haven't seen my fish and have no idea what the heck they are, and letting THEM watch my little discovery channel. And when those same people (especially the prissy girls) freak out when they see the ropes because they look so much like snakes. I also like planning for new tanks, and thinking about different combinations of fish I could put together. And learning new things about the hobby and being able to use big latin names for fish and know I'm saying them correctly.

I really enjoy watching them etc.

But also a great thing can be the setting up of a tank and seeing how it all comes into place. After a lot of hard work a well turned out aquarium can be really rewarding. Also (for me at least) theres always something to do and keep you "challenged". Waterchanges, buying new fish, planting new plants, trimming old ones, re-planning your aquascaping...

The learning/planning/researching aspect of it is great as well.

But overall I love almost every aspect of it (besides the potential price tag ;))

#2. But I do like to show off my tanks to those who aren't really in the hobby. There is a lot of people who think of 55 gal when they think of big fish tanks. I usually get a good reaction from them.
