How do you feed monster fish?

That gives me an idea for tonight's supper.

My 25" RTC eats a talapia fillet and 3 or 4 shrimp (with shell and tails) once a week. I also through in a few comets half way through the week and occasionally a hotdog or too. My oscar and large mouth bass get jumbo sticks daily and the RTC will usually get a few of them. Like someone else said watch the buldge in their bellies and when mine startes getting hungry he starts hunting around the tank a lot more.

My silver aro eats 2 days market prawns next 2 days tilapia fillets and another 2 days with live guppies...

I like to stuff pieces of fish filet with high quality pellets. That way, the fish gets the "fun" of a hunk of meat, and I know the pellets are ensuring a supply of what the fish may be lacking. This is especially good for those that aren't trained to eat pellets, but will take dead flesh.

Hmmm not sure how I feel about hot dogs as a food source for fish...or humans for that fact.

Now I want to eat some hot dogs.

Mmmm... footlong Chicago Dog baby! A great snack for me, not something I give to my fish. 'Course, I don't give 'em beef heart either.
