How do some of you get rid of anxiety and depression?
I've been feelen down latley * dont know why *

SO i thought i should ask what some of you do to get rid of it.

I feel like I have been going through this my whole life, I think the best thing to do is keep busy, even if you can't bring yourself to do any of the things you enjoy sometimes, just do something, keeping busy keeps your mind off of whats bothering you. It is not always a good thing to have too much time alone to dwell on something. I don't suggest running away from problems, but sometimes people can get upset over something that is really nothing major, even though it may seem like it at the time. Also if you have been cooped up in the house too long it can drive you crazy too, try a change of scenery,go somewhere, or try to talk to people about anything, you don't have to always talk about being depressed because than people will start running when they see you coming!

Sounds like you need a bigger fish tank my friend! I actually know what you mean. I moved little over a year ago to Indianapolis in the middle of high school and it has been hard. When you feel down, you might try getting out of the house. Go exercise or something. Just do something you like to take your mind off things. If you want to talk more about it, just drop me a pm. I'd be more than happy to talk to you more.

Like I've had anxiety attacks for almost my whole life ( mostly at night and in the mornings) It's so bad some times I cant even stay at a friends house or go out and have fun with my friends. It hasent been acting up in about 5 months, but I feel really down this week I dont even know why. My anxiety is so bad I cant talk in front of the class, I dont like talking to people I dont know over the phone. Idk it sucks lol

so I decided i should ask what i could do to calm myself down lol.

16 and sence i was about 12

I get nervous really easily, more around adults than anything else... like teachers is about it i guess.

check out that PM

its funny you mention you are nervous around authority figures because thats the exception, usually its with people such as peers, relatives coming to visit your house, etc, etc. For example for a lot of people interviews and speaking to officers are okay, its the situations where they have dinner with somebody privately, or just hanging out with friends, that gets to them because they feel as if theyre thrown on a stage and have to perform, or be criticized constantly for every imaginable actions, actions become mechanical, feeling overwhelmed out of control, sweating, deathly need to escape situation, etc. And afterwards when more relaxed you reflect back on it, dwelling on it piece by piece(overanalyzing), which makes it worse the next time. Cycle repeats
