You two may want to actually read the original post:nilly:

You could lift it with 8 juice monkey strength guys but if 8 regular strength guys good luck with that;). A 1000 gallon glass tank would be double the weight of my 450g glass tank which took me 8 decent strength guys to lift it and it was still heavy...I would suggest 12+ guys at least to move it. Ask for more help the better.

Cut a whole in the ceiling and use a crane to get it out then put the crane on a trailer and drive it to your house. =D

I doubt it's glass.

I would move it in two parts (steps). First step get some local movers in the area where the fish tank is and have them move it on to a trailer. I'm picking a trailer because you can have it sit in your drive way for a while cheaply while your planning part two.
Option one move tank and stand separately: The tank is most likely still on the stand. You grab one end of the tank with the 4 guys and move it off that side of the stand. 4 guys can do this! Bring the tank around so it's half on the stand and half off the stand. The end on the stand is centered in the middle of the stand (perpendicular). The 4 guys will set the tank on what ever rollers they have, these guys will know what to put it on just make sure the bottom is supported, most of the weight should be around the edges of the tank. Then get the 4 guys to the other side and drop that down to another set of wheels.
Option two move tank and stand together: If there's room this is how I would do it. Best chance for the tank to make is undamaged. The movers will have a rig with wheels for moving heavy machinery. It looks like a two wheel cart you would move a refrigerator with except the wheels are turned 90 degrees from one of those. They work in pairs so one would be on each side of the tank and each unit has it's own jack. They strap em together and slowly jack it up. They will get the stand about 1" off the ground and install the rigging. Then they strap it all together and roll it out. It should be able to jack up high enough to clear a trailer ramp. Just roll it on and secure it to the trailer and hit the road.
The moving guys will recommend and moving company in your area. Hire them out to move it into your house. Done

How do you move 1000 gallon glass tank? I would have to drive 5 hours to pick it up, so I wouldnt be able to get 8 people to help load it on a trailer. Any ideas? Possible equipment I could rent? Thanks
With gloves on. Trust me.;)

Yeah....call a professional moving company and leave it to the Pros...
That way if they break it they buy it...
trust me, unless you can find a dozen or so people that are all rehearsed in moving large heavy objects, forget about getting it where you need it in one piece...IMHO ;)

get a truck and trailor. go to your local homedepot. once there it shouldnt take to long useually theyll have 10+ right out front then all you need to say is "¿Busca usted el trabajo? Necesito aproximadamente seis personas." sit them in the back of the truck and get going. lol but really your gonna need alot of people to lift that thing and a dolly might be useful

I always wondered what to say to those guys...
somebody here told me to say..."Usted huele como un caballo!!" and they just keep chasing the truck...
What gives??!? must not be "I need some help moving my tank", huh? ;)
