How do you name your fish?

Ive never named a fish. The people who discovered them did and then who ever made up the common names. Makes things less confusing. Hey there goes the Green Severum with the redderfins and thats the Rotkiel Severum hes the bigger of the two etc
Every time my wife named a fish it would undoubtedly die in a freak accident (rock fall caused by other fish etc.) so I no longer let her lol. not a single death since the last naming over a year ago haha
i wait for it to come to me.. as their personality comes out its. not hard to find a suiting name. with my newer stock list in the 125, im still struggling, but have 5 out of the 17 covered.
comon pleco- Stürm pooper (hes german, and poops everywhere)
dominant pearsei- Big Black (nice dark colors, and hes a big ole fatty)
2 texas- tweedle dee, tweedle dum (i get confused, who is who?)
firemouth- Ole Dirty B@$tard (hes a lil $#!T)

I named by baby EBJD Blue Moon, I have an African Cichlid that I call Big Daddy because he is the boss of that tank, I have a Parrot Fish I call Jaws because its got a big attitude, I have strange looking large bottom feeder that was given to me that I call Lockness as in the Lockness Monster, my other fish don't really have names..
First Oscar named Pebbles cuz he was playing in the rocks when we first got him.
Another Oscar named Nibbler after Nibbler form Futurama he eats anything and everything he can.
Large 6" silver dollar named Brutus I rescued him from terrible conditions and he managed to mess up his head really bad in the move and how has deep scars and pits from it but hes doing great now.
Bumble bee cat fish named Bumbles.
Thats it for fish with names.

my two oscars are named Rob & Aaron after the Pats TE's, I have a feeling they'll be celebrating come sunday night
I have a lot of fish in my community tank... but the ones that stick out get named...
10" Lima shovel nose catfish- Roger (after the alien on "American dad"
17" iridescent shark- Sump (lived in a sump pump till i bought him)
8" Red Belly Pacu- Manny (after manny pacquiao)
6" Red Tail Cat- Dyson (like the vacuum... self explanatory)
4" Red Tail Catfish/Tiger Shovelnose Hybrid- Shere Kahn (Jungle book)
Many more names to come....
