How do you prefer your fish?

In general terms, given the space, what do you prefer? To get the biggest, adult fish or small and watch them grow ?

I mean in general, not when you want to choose a potential couple for breeding or some other special reason that would determine the purchase size.

I, personnally, will always go for adult fish, the bigger the better.

Some friends of mine prefer them as fry ( allmost ) and like to watch them grow.

How about you, guys?

I like the smallest fish that is hardy...For example, oscars pass 3 inches, Clown loaches at 2-3 inches, 6 inch aros, etc

I love to watch them grow and develop, imo the only reason to buy adult fish is for a breeding project, or as an addition to an established show tank.

I don't like to grow out fish I think it takes to long. I prefer to pay allittle more for an adult fish then cheaper for a small fish and grow him out.
