How do you put back water in the tank?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ok.... Take old water out. Get a bucket. Put said bucket under tap. Put recommended amount of declorinator into bucket (to declorinate the approximate amount of water in the bucket). Fill bucket. Take bucket to fish tank. Pour. Repeat until tank is full.

Thats what I do. It sucks, but Pythons waste a lot of water.

You use buckets on all those tanks in your sig?

Props to you!!!:headbang2:headbang2:headbang2 There's no damn way I would do that anymore, then again our water is 50 bucks no matter how much we use.

Pythons do waste a little water, but NOT when u fill the tank, only when u siphon. Also your/my time & effort have a value greater than a couple more gallons on the water bill.

buckets hurts my back :l becuase the dam fish tank is 4 1/2 feet high and i am 5 7"
and the buckets spill too much :P I use the garden hose

I should probably be careful how i talk to someone who carries TONS of water every week. May get hold of you if I need help moving tho.

Garden hose? They have chemicals in them to keep the rubber supple that can kill fish if they get hot before use and are not rinsed out first. Old ones are more likely to be clear of chems but still run into drain or toilet for a min before adding to tank.

Only? lol :D:D

Also I agree with most but if it takes 120 minutes as in 2 hours to fill with buckets you might want to put the dechlorinator in before you fill. In 2 hours the fish could easily be dead by then or your BB could be shot. You have well water(I used to also) so it doesn't matter but to others.

lol. i was be sarcastic when i said 2 hours.

yeah, i put in my water treatment after because i have well water. i only use the stuff just because. i actually don't use it a lot of the times.
