Do you drop in the frozen cube still frozen?
I have been putting them in a brine shrimp net and running them under hot water till thawed out then fanning the net through the tank.
Does my method make any sense is it washing away nutrients ???

depending on the amount of fish in the tank i just throw in half a cube or the whole cube and let it go theyl peck at it or let it melt and i feed live brine shrimp also but the water is terrible for your tank

I just put in a seive and let it defrost or put it in a drop of tank water then drain of in a seive for quickness. I drain it so i don't get the red crappy water going in my tank.

i drop in 6 cubes still frozen. lets the fish have a chase when the spray bar pushes them.

After having several fish swallow an entire frozen cube, I stopped tossing them in like that... but those cubes can definitely get messy when you thaw them out and put them in the tank.

In my smaller community tank, I thaw them out in tank water. I suck up some worms with a dropper and feed them to the killies... now when they see the dropper near the water, they follow it.

I unthaw in a plastic cup, add meds as necessary, add garlic extract, and dump them in.

my uncle puts his in the fridge for a day or two and lets it thaw and then just takes a spoonful or two out. that is for his SW fish.

SO nobody lets it thaw under hot water in a fine net ? I feel this method is cleanest it eliminates the nasty water frozen in the cube
