my uncle puts his in the fridge for a day or two and lets it thaw and then just takes a spoonful or two out. that is for his SW fish.

Best way to retain foods value. This is how every major aquarium feeds their fish. Running under hot water literally washes the good stuff away....

SO nobody lets it thaw under hot water in a fine net ? I feel this method is cleanest it eliminates the nasty water frozen in the cube

See above ^

I hold the frozen cube between my index finger and thumb and let the more aggressive fish (small comm tank) peck all the worms they want out of it. Feels pretty weird as they peck my finger more than the cube. Then i swirl the cube around so the loose worms break free from the cube and sink to the bottom feeder fish/shy fish.

Thank you sir I shall do that from now on :nilly::ROFL:

I usually put them into a solo cup with hot water and spin it around for a few then toss it in, sometimes turn the filters off so it doesnt all get sucked up. Then at least everyone can get some, the whole chunk method usually results in the big guys downing it all.

What If I let it thaw daily then used the net to retrieve the fridge thawed worms ? I just cant bring myself to dump that nasty brown water in my tank daily

I do the net/hot water approach. Use my fingers and drop them in. Not a problem with the fish I have, but I've had some close calls with the BGK snipping fingers.

I buy them in an ice sheets rather than cubes. I break off a small chunks like breaking crackers and dump it into the tank. It can be a bit messy and I do turn off all my filters through a master switch during feeding. After feeding the filters will clear the water within minutes.

depends on the tank

some of the tanks just get frozen clubes droped straight in
some of them get thrown in a sake cup with warm water and spooned into the tank
some get thawed in a sake cup and dumped in the tank

no one gets the net treatment though

I see...
