I was in Home Depot today buying a 1/4 sheet sander to do a lil modification to a tank I have when it hit me. Fish keeping is helping me with my other hobbies as well.
I love building an tinkering with things so I am always buying tools and the sort. I plan on building a sump for my 125 and the next tank I get (I thought 240 but after talking with zoo maybe 300...thanks pal
). And of course I am going to build a stand and hood for the new tank. I have done home improvements, construction, and worked as a mechanic. I work on my own motorcycle and truck. My dad taught me a lot about power tools and I guess I feel like I am honoring him when I build stuff (thanks dad R.I.P).
I also love music and will listen to almost anything. Isit for hours with just music on vegging watching my tanks.
I even have my fiance (she who must be obeyed...sometimes) getting into fish. She carried on a conversation with someone about fish based just on what she has learned from me. (No she didnt make a fool of herself
)
So I guess fishkeeping just gives me a chance to expand on the other thing i do in my life. How about the rest of you.
