How does fishkeeping fit in with your other hobbies?

for a little while, i made fish keeping my main hobby and blew off every other hobby. every day it was fish fish fish.

then i ralized, o crap, i have a car that i have been working on for over 2 yrs that i neglected for 9 months because of my fish lol.

so i calculated my time, i visit less fish stores as i dont have room for any more now, so its just observing/feeding/waterchanges now. so i have tons of time for my drift hobby.

my other hobby is airsoft, fish keeping is really cutting in to the budget.

Fish is my main hobby, but my others are collecting music, hairstyling (make jokes :lol and clothes.


So there ya go. Fish doesn't fit in at all.

MY two main hobbies are Fish and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu ive been doing both for awhile but due to work i put off martial arts for awhile but im finaly getting back into it.





Oh and my girlfriend who is also into fish

I do some amateur boxing and a little mixed martial arts/full contact fighting so the only way fish keeping helps me in those areas is training. I do all of my calisthenic training in my living room in front of my 135 gallon so it keeps my mind off the pain and boredom of training. I think it helps my workouts last longer. Now if I only I could watch my fish when I run on the track... lol

i have other hobbies such as gardening and horses and just keeping everything nice and spiffy in my house.. because i like to cook and entertain a little..plus i have my parrots and dogs and love antiques and auctions and my husband shares all the same interests and does alot of the hard work involved giving me some time to hang out here

It seems like all of my other hobbies tie into it in some way, mainly DIY. Electronics and mechanics in general are my other hobbies, both of which get used when I set stuff up. My job even ties into it, medical equipment is fun to tie in with fishkeeping!

My hobby seems to be acquiring new hobbies... before building my fish tank it was building fiberglass car parts, before that it was building auto suspension, before that it was building an electric bike, before that it was auto bodywork, before that it was building furniture for our new house... the list is endless. The only constant is me wanting something to be some way and finding out that the only way it's going to happen is if I make it that way myself!

fish keeping and snowboarding, snowboarding is like my life, fish keeping just started about year ago, but i love it! deffently not simmlar at all tho!
