Yes, YOU. Not everybody else. People don't have to share your opinions. It's not dumb of them. But it is dumb to take offense to it.

Well at least the thread is right about one thing: someone's a dumb fish keeper and it's not blood parrot owner.

Hellman: your pictures are not helping your case. You took an offense to someone said that lyonsi looks like a convict. BUT lyonsi do looks like a convict in few ways and I can see why he called them a convict.

I think that a 7" parrot would be a nice size to trade. They are worth about 30 bucks being about 4". Not sure what ur fish is worth but I assume the parrot owner has a high oppinion of his fish. I like parrots and usually choose color variety over others. I like jd's and tx cichlids due to coloration. Don't think dumb is the appropriate choice for wording.

The moral of this story is that a fish is only worth as much as someone would pay for it. A BP that large would take a few years to get to that size and cost $40+ at a lfs, I didn't think it seemed like an uneven trade. If he offered something like convicts to trade then I'd be a bit offended. I always lean towards the people I know would appriciate them most.

I've paid $50 for fish that other fish keepers wouldn't take for free. :D But its worth that much to me and thats all that matters.
